MANCHESTER UNITED defender Nemanja Vidic admits he found it tough to adapt to life at Old Trafford, but believes he will be more consistent next season.

Vidic, aged 24, arrived in January with a big reputation after helping Serbia and Montenegro reach the World Cup finals. However, he looked unconvincing in his first league match, which ended in 4-3 defeat at Blackburn. Vidic is beginning to feel settled in England after a spell in Russia.

“I am happy now and getting better with every game. It was not easy for me in those first matches. I did not feel good. It was a new country and a new club and the first two months were very difficult for me.
