Ronaldo and Postiga in Portugal squad

PORTUGAL coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has named his provisional squad for European Championship in June.

Manchester United starlet Cristiano Ronaldo and Tottenham striker Helder Postiga have both been included.

Postiga has had a disappointing season at White Hart Lane after joining for £6.25 million (9 million) from Porto last June.

Real Madrid’s Luis Figo also features for the host nation, who are being tipped to have a good tournament under former World Cup winning coach Scolari.

PORTUGAL’S squad: Goalkeepers: Pereira (Sporting Lisbon), Quim (Sporting Braga), Moreira (Benfica).

Defenders: Ferreira (FC Porto), Monteiro (Benfica), Couto (Lazio), Andrade (Deportivo Coruna), Carvalho (FC Porto), Severo (Sporting Lisbon), Valente (FC Porto), Jorge (Sporting Lisbon).

Midfielders: Costinha (FC Porto), Petit (Benfica), Maniche (FC Porto), Tiago (Benfica), Rui Costa (AC Milan), Souza (FC Porto)

Strikers: Figo (Real Madrid), Ronaldo (Man Utd), Sabrosa (Benfica), Pauleta (Paris Saint-Germain), Gomes (Benfica), Postiga (Tottenham).
