Blues bid to quash Kezman ban

CHELSEA assistant boss Steve Clarke believes the club have a strong case with their appeal against a three-match ban on £5.3 million new signing Mateja Kezman.

The Blues are claiming wrongful dismissal after Kezman was sent off for violent conduct in a pre-season friendly against AS Roma on July 29.

The summer arrival from PSV Eindhoven was dismissed for an altercation with Olivier Dacourt following a needless hack by the former Leeds midfielder on Arjen Robben during the ChampionsWorld series match in Pittsburgh.
