Boost for Gunners as Campbell fit for battle

ARSENAL have been given a major boost after Sol Campbell pronounced himself fit for battle, but the Gunners are anxiously awaiting the results of Gilberto Silva’s medical for a back injury.

The Brazilian midfielder, who is seeing a specialist, missed Arsenal's 1-0 win at Manchester City on Saturday and could be out for a month at best.

That would be the case if the problem is found to be an old one that has become inflamed, needing rest or something more serious.
