Gilberto criticises Chelsea ‘long ball’ tactics

ARSENAL midfielder Gilberto has added to Arsene Wenger’s criticism of Chelsea’s tactics by likening a match against Jose Mourinho’s side to being caught in the middle of a “game of tennis.”

Wenger voiced his feelings about Chelsea’s “long-ball” game after the Community Shield and then observed that “only one of the teams was playing football” after Arsenal’s Premiership defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Gilberto has now backed up his manager’s views by criticising Chelsea in an interview in the club’s official programme for their midweek game against Fulham.
