Sublime Gunners shooting for perfection

PERHAPS Gary Neville should be given a video of Arsenal’s annihilation of Leeds to consider his comments about a currently unstoppable Arsenal side he feels has not improved in the last four years.

The Manchester United right-back claims it is his own team which has simply slipped from their once-exalted perch, rather than the Gunners having made great strides over the intervening period, which explains the shift of power towards Highbury.

Neville reckons the Arsenal team from the 1998-99 season which contained the likes of Tony Adams, Emmanuel Petit, Marc Overmars and Nicolas Anelka all no longer with the club was greater than the modern-day version which is sweeping all before them.
