United locked in talks in final effort to settle Ronaldinho issue

MANCHESTER UNITED were tonight still locked in talks in their final efforts to sign Brazilian midfielder Ronaldinho from French club Paris St Germain.

United were keen to have the issue settled one way or the other by the end of the day but negotiations were continuing last night.

If their efforts fail then they will accept defeat and turn their attention elsewhere perhaps towards Damien Duff if the Blackburn winger decides against a move to Chelsea.
