Henry best in the world, says Reyes

JOSE ANTONIO REYES believes Arsenal team-mate Thierry Henry edges out Zinedine Zidane as the best player in the world.

The former Sevilla star admits he regarded Real idol Zidane as the world's finest when he was plying his trade in Spain .

However, since switching to Arsenal three months ago, the Spanish international has gained first-hand experience of Henry's ability and feels he is a superior performer.

"He (Henry) is a footballer beyond the normal," said Reyes yesterday.

"When I was in Spain I thought that Zidane was the best in the world. Now I am convinced it is Henry.

"With these players, France are the big favourites for the European Championship."

Reyes went on to add that he had been left in awe by the facilities at Arsenal, and insisted the Gunners have to be considered the best club in world football.

"Arsenal is just incredible," the 20-year-old continued.

"It is the best club in the world, above even (Real) Madrid.

"The structure, the coaches, the directors, the journeys in private planes

"Also (Arsene) Wenger's treatment of the players is very good.

"There is a lot of seriousness and respect in his work."
