Dyer happy to stay put
Dyer has been linked with a big-money move to both Manchester United and Chelsea, but claims he is happy to be a member of Newcastle's healthy midfield numbers.
"I thought when I signed for Newcastle the speculation would stop," he said. "I had it over a number of years when I was at Ipswich. I don't know where it comes from. Ken Bates of Chelsea has said he doesn't want me. Manchester United I don't know where that has come from. Our chairman has said I am not for sale so that is good enough for me."
Dyer turned in a man-of-the-match display in Thursday's Asia Cup win over Birmingham, a performance Robson said typified a man with "four lungs and two hearts".
With Lee Bowyer joining this summer, Robson has seven international midfielders plus Darren Ambrose pushing for places, just the depth he believes Newcastle require if they are to stamp their authority on the Premiership and Europe.
