O’Neill still involved in Celtic signings

CELTIC manager Gordon Strachan revealed yesterday that Martin O’Neill will still influence his signings this summer.

The former Southampton and Coventry boss officially took up the reins at Parkhead yesterday following his predecessor’s decision to quit to spend more time with his wife Geraldine, who is ill.

But he has taken no time at all in getting his teeth into what lies ahead by pledging to hand new deals to Jackie McNamara and Neil Lennon while making persuading Craig Bellamy to stay his top priority.
