BRYAN ROBSON has told striker Rob Earnshaw to fight for his place in the West Brom team next month after turning down a transfer request from the Wales striker.

Earnshaw, 24, has become disenchanted with life at The Hawthorns after only four Premiership starts this season. But manager Robson insists the striker will become part of his first-team plans.

"He will get his chance when Kanu and Diomansy Kamara go away to the African Nations Cup or if they suffer a dip in form and it is up to him to take it," Robson said.
