STEVE BRUCE has insisted he intended no offence to Birmingham fans by waving to Manchester United supporters during the second-half of the Carling Cup clash at St Andrews on Tuesday night.

Bruce was booed by a section of home followers after he acknowledged chants of ‘Brucey, Brucey give us a wave’ from United fans for whom he was a hero during his time as an Old Trafford player.

Blues were trailing 2-0 at the time and Bruce has apologised in case his actions upset anyone. However he is adamant no slight was meant towards Blues supporters.
