Curbishley to bring Lisbie back to Addicks

ALAN CURBISHLEY is likely to bring Kevin Lisbie back to Charlton when the striker completes his loan spell at Norwich.

The 26-year-old’s month-long stay in Norfolk expires following today’s Coca-Cola Championship match at Brighton. However, with Dean Ashton, Leon McKenzie and Peter Thorne all struggling for fitness, Canaries boss Nigel Worthington is keen to extend the deal and bolster his attacking options.

While Curbishley feels the loan spell will have done Lisbie good following several injury problems - including an operation to remove a benign tumour from his nose at the end of last season - he is keen to have Lisbie back in the Charlton ranks.

Lisbie has scored one goal in five appearances for the Canaries and said earlier this week: “If Alan is happy for me to stay then I will stay, but if he wants me to go back I will go back and fight for my place. I’m happy to be playing here. I haven’t played for a long time, so it’s good for me.”
