Campbell: don’t question my full commitment to England

ARSENAL defender Sol Campbell has insisted his commitment to England should not be questioned despite his latest withdrawal from an international friendly.

Campbell has stressed to fans that England need to make the fitness of players a top priority to avoid travelling to Euro 2004 with a “half-fit” team, as they did for the 2002 World Cup.

Campbell, who also revealed that he is keen to sign a new Arsenal contract, has now missed the past five England friendlies due to injury.
