Zura signing incomplete

RANGERS have confirmed that the signing of Georgian international Zura Khizanishvili remains incomplete.

The 21-year-old has already passed a medical at Rangers’ Murray Park training complex.

But his transfer from Dundee has not been tied up as he has not signed the contract on offer to him.

And a further complication has emerged in the shape of a work permit application, which has yet to be lodged with the Department of Employment.

Non-EU players must play in 75% of their country’s internationals to qualify but a serious knee injury put his career on hold for 10 months and as a result he falls just short.

Gers manager Alex McLeish said: “He hasn’t signed for us. He came in for his medical but he has not put pen to paper.”
