Pleat keeps his fingers crossed over injury to Kanoute
Kanoute scored a last-minute winner but was then stretchered off in injury-time following a bad challenge from Muzzy Izzet.
Kanoute left the stadium on crutches and admitted of his injury: "It is not very good".
And Pleat said: "Frederic's ankle is very sore at the moment and he will have X-rays and scans before we can determine the problem."
The Spurs caretaker boss was full of praise for the way his side hit back from Paul Dickov's first-half opener.
And he expressed particular delight for South African Mbulelo Mabizela, who rocketed home a 78th-minute equaliser just four minutes into his Premiership debut.
Pleat said: "Mbulelo is slightly homesick and he hasn't smiled much since he has been here but hopefully this will put a smile on his face.
"He played against us for Orlando Pirates on a pre-season tour and we brought him over on the proviso that if he did what we thought he could we would take him and he has done that."
Pleat admitted he was disappointed by his side's first half performance but his substitutions paid off handsomely in the second period with Bobby Zamora and Stephane Dalmat both also involved in the two goals.
He added: "We had a lucky day in terms of the substitutions but we had to make changes because in the first half Leicester were more athletic and quicker to the ball than us.
"I was not pleased with the first half and we deserved nothing more than to be 1-0 down.
"In the second-half we began to play and get confident and show that we can play."
Leicester boss Micky Adams bemoaned his side's bad luck after their fourth consecutive defeat left them rooted to the foot of the table. Adams would not criticise his players' performance but admitted they needed to be much sharper in front of goal.
He said: "It is a cruel game and we did not deserve that. We knew we were bottom and we were determined to put things right and I felt it was a good response from the players.
"The difference is that we need 30 attempts to score these days and Tottenham had two and scored them both.
"But it concerns me because I am saying the same things after every game we have had enough chances to win the game and we are not doing it."
