No UEFA probe into Porto chanting

PORTO seem likely escape punishment for racist chants aimed at Didier Drogba and William Gallas by their fans during their Champions League clash with Chelsea.

No UEFA probe into Porto chanting

A section of Porto supporters taunted the pair with 'monkey' noises in Tuesday night's Group H game at the Dragao Stadium. However, UEFA reported yesterday they have yet to receive evidence which could lead to action against the Portuguese club.

While the Chelsea players insisted they never heard any of the chants directed towards their team-mates, Porto striker Benni McCarthy slammed the home fans for their stupidity.

The South Africa international said: "In this life people have to grow up a little bit, and I don't see why people make those kind of noises. They do it to one black player. But our team also has black players, so we feel it too. People need to be more mature and think about these issues."
