THE impression of Manchester United as a club in crisis gathered momentum last night after a Roy Keane blast for his colleagues after their 4-1 weekend humiliation at Middlesbrough was pulled off the MUTV schedules.

Keane carried out his brief to analyse the Riverside debacle in the regular “Plays the Pundit” programme at United’s Carrington training ground at lunchtime yesterday.

Sources have confirmed that the 34-year-old Cork man, currently sidelined with a broken foot, offered his usual blunt assessment of United’s disastrous performance, widely acknowledged by supporters to be the worst since the 3-1 defeat at Manchester City four years ago after which Alex Ferguson infamously threatened to throw open the dressing room doors so fans could tell his players what they thought.
