Robbie will be our main man, says Kenny

TEAM captain Kenny Cunningham yesterday identified Robbie Keane as the man who can shoot Ireland to the leading position in World Cup qualifying Group Four against Switzerland tonight.

Robbie will be our main man, says Kenny

Keane's goal from a penalty in the 3-0 win over Cyprus on Saturday brought him level with record holder Niall Quinn on 21 career goals for Ireland. Cunningham believes that record will not last long.

"From very early in his international career, people realised that as long as he kept himself fit then that goal scoring record would come to Robbie. He's only a goal away; it would be great if he got it against Switzerland," Cunningham admitted.
