Nunez set for return with Liverpool reserves

ANTONIO NUNEZ is set to return to action with Liverpool reserves tonight, rare good news on the injury front for the Anfield club.

The Spanish winger, who joined Liverpool as part of the deal which took Michael Owen to Real Madrid, suffered a knee injury in his first training session.

He is now fit enough to play some part in the Premiership Reserve League match away to Leeds. Nunez has already had one false start in his rehabilitation and Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez will not take any shortcuts with his compatriot’s fitness.
