Second consortium to bid for Leeds

THE battle for control of cash-strapped Leeds looks certain to rage into next month as a second Yorkshire-based consortium prepare to make a bid.

Suggestions the first group, who have been in talks with Leeds and their creditors for the last four weeks, have had their offer accepted are understood to be premature.

Discussions are said to be ongoing with all parties concerned.

& The second group is understood to include a number of wealthy Leeds businessmen among them former Huddersfield chairman Terry Fisher who are Leeds supporters.
