Savage brands ban ‘disgraceful’

ROBBIE SAVAGE has labelled FIFA’s decision to uphold his suspension for Wales’ vital clash with England “absolutely disgraceful” but has accepted defeat in his bid to overturn the ban.

Savage was sent off in Wales’ recent World Cup qualifier against Northern Ireland - the only red card of his career.

The suspension is particularly galling for Savage because he felt the red card was unjust. “I would have gone all the way with my fight, even to the High Court had it been left to me,” Savage said.
