Quashie ruled out

SCOTLAND have decided against risking the fitness of midfielder Nigel Quashie in Wednesday’s must-win match in Moldova.

But captain Barry Ferguson is still expected to fly east despite fears over a damaged hamstring.

It was hoped both midfielders would be able to make the trip for the World Cup Qualifier in Chisinau, with Ferguson having played through the pain barrier in Saturday’s 1-0 home defeat by Norway.
