THIERRY HENRY may be the leading scorer and top draw in the Barclays Premiership but it was Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze who was the best player in September according to the Actim Index.

The Actim Index - the official player ratings system of the Barclays Premiership - awards points for positive actions during the game such as shots, saves and tackles.

And it was Heinze rather than the France striker who came out on top of the rankings for last month.

In fact, Henry was eighth. Newcastle’s Steven Carr ran Heinze a close second with United’s Mikael Silvestre third.
