Giggs won’t rule out Cup appearance
The 31-year-old has been having intensive treatment on the hamstring injury he picked up early in the 0-0 draw with Blackburn on April 2 and has at least been able to start running again.
It all now depends on Giggs coming through training later this week without a reaction.
Given the severity of the initial injury, it seems highly unlikely Giggs will recover in time.
Alex Ferguson, a man under siege after the debacle at Norwich which prompted Roy Keane’s extraordinary outburst, plus negative headlines surrounding Wayne Rooney and Rio Ferdinand, has already admitted the most decorated player in United’s history will probably miss out.
Giggs though retains a glimmer of hope.
