Come and get me Gordon, says Dabizas

GREECE international Nikos Dabizas has issued a ‘Come and get me’ plea to Celtic manager Gordon Strachan.

The former Newcastle and Leicester defender is looking for a club after a move to Anderlecht fell through.

And with Celtic having conceded nine goals in their first two matches, Strachan has made it no secret he intends to shore up the defence.

Dabizas said: “My agent has told me there might be the possibility of something with Celtic and I am available. If it was to become official then I would be delighted.”

Birmingham defender Martin Taylor is also believed to be in Strachan’s sights.

China international defender Du Wei is currently on trial, while Marseille are interested in Bobo Balde - who has an escape clause in his contract that can allow him to leave for free. Birmingham are also interested in Balde.
