City focused on further transfer deals

MANCHESTER CITY boss Stuart Pearce is looking at four potential signings to bring to Eastlands before the transfer window closes.

Pearce has already brought Albert Riera on loan from Espanyol to strengthen his midfield but is keen to bolster numbers as City look for European qualification.

“The few that we are after are the ones that we think are the right ones to come and join us,” Pearce said. “We are, at present, working on at least three players to get in.”

There are exits also. Danny Warrender has joined Blackpool from City permanently after playing on loan there since October.

The 19-year-old defender was informed his contract would not be renewed at Eastlands and was granted a free transfer.

Meanwhile, West Brom completed the loan signing of Slovakian midfielder Jan Kozak for the remainder of the season.

The 6ft 4in Artmedia Bratislava player impressed on trial and will arrive at The Hawthorns with a view to a permanent deal. The Baggies are still awaiting international clearance for the 25-year-old Kozak from the FA but expect to receive it in time for Tuesday’s Premiership trip to Charlton.
