Strachan backs his skipper to continue playing

CELTIC manager Gordon Strachan is backing captain Neil Lennon to play on at the top level beyond this season.

The 34-year-old has expressed a desire to sign a new contract if the club want to keep him. And Strachan, who enjoyed a long playing career himself, is refusing to rule out a new deal at Parkhead.

“I see no reason why he can‘t play on,” he said.
