Toffees can stick to title chasers

DAVID MOYES believes his Everton side is good enough to rub shoulders with the high and mighty of the Premiership.

The Toffees continue to confound the critics and their lunchtime win at Norwich on Saturday put them in second spot for just a few hours before Chelsea’s 4-0 romp over Blackburn.

And after watching champions Arsenal lose their 49-match unbeaten run on Sunday at Manchester United, the Everton boss was insistent that his cash-strapped club can stay in the title-chasing group.

That theory is going to be tested to the limit over the next five weeks when Everton face Chelsea, Newcastle and Liverpool. But the confident Everton manager said: “I actually think we can stay there up at the top now. We are playing well enough with lots of confidence and we will continue to be a hard team to beat.”
