Spurs set to make renewed bid for Keane

SPURS are considering a renewed move for Leeds’ Irish international Robbie Keane as the White Hart Lane boss, Glenn Hoddle, widens his search for a striker.

Hoddle, who is wrestling with an injury crisis ahead of their first Premiership game at Everton on Saturday, has so far drawn a blank with a move for Real Madrid’s Fernando Morientes.

With Keane still likely to be available at Leeds United despite the arrival of new manager Terry Venables, it seems that Hoddle may now revive his interest before the start of the season.
