The Hammers closed the gap on Bolton to four points and the gap on Leeds who play today to three thanks to Trevor Sinclair's 76th-minute strike against Middlesbrough.

Roeder felt his players thoroughly deserved the win and said: "It is possible we'll have to win our last three games but it might not be necessary.
