Dejected Dowie is ‘going nowhere’

A downcast Dowie, having made a big impression as a Premiership boss this season despite his side’s instant demotion, blasted: “That is a silly question to ask me at this stage. We have just got to look forward. The only difference is now that we are a Championship side, but I am still the manager. We have just got to be quick out of the traps and get back to the top next year.”

Dowie insisted there was no reason why Palace could not hang on to their star players for next season’s campaign.
