Drogheda switch attentions to league race

DROGHEDA UNITED, the new holders of the Setanta Cup, return to eircom League action tonight against Longford Town at United Park, with the acclaim of their supporters still ringing in the team’s ears after that hard-fought 1-0 win against Cork City at Tolka Park.

"I have to say we did celebrate on Sunday but nothing major," says manager Paul Doolin. "But you have to mark the occasion and the boys deserved it. I think with the extra-time on Saturday we also had to be careful this week that we didn't over-train."

Drogheda also have a few injury worries to contend with as a result of last Saturday's exertions. James Keddy has a hamstring strain and is unlikely to be involved this evening.
