Energia has extended its partnership with the IRFU for an additional five years to 2029, including its title sponsorship of the Men’s and Women’s All Ireland League competitions.

The energy company also supports both the men’s and women’s senior Ireland teams and has pledged to launch new initiatives aimed at growing club rugby across the country.

Today’s announcement continues Energia’s partnership with the IRFU that began in 2019 and included a commitment to work on a number of grassroots and community-driven projects and help expand coverage of AIL games. It will also extend its Energia Rugby for All initiative, launched with Leinster Rugby last year, to a nationwide level to make rugby more inclusive for people with physical and learning differences.

“We are thrilled to renew our partnership with the IRFU for another five years,” Energia managing director Gary Ryan said. “We have seen, and continue to see, the endless possibilities that Irish rugby offers, for both women and men, from grassroots to elite.

"We are very proud of the innovations we’ve brought to the Energia AIL over the past five years and look forward to working with the IRFU on a slate of brand new grassroots projects and community initiatives aimed at securing the future of Irish rugby.”

IRFU chief commercial officer Padraig Power added: “Over the last five years, Energia has offered practical, meaningful support and investment, ensuring that Irish rugby has continued to flourish and thrive with particular successful support being seen in both the All-Ireland League and with the Women’s International Team.

“We are grateful for their ongoing support and look forward to continuing our collaboration with them over the coming years.”
