If at times throughout the pool stage it appeared as if the Investec Champions Cup had lost a bit of its charm and allure, Saturday’s final at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has all the makings of a classic.

To be fair, from the quarter finals onwards, we’ve been treated to a series of captivating knockout contests, not least Leinster’s dethroning of back-to-back champions La Rochelle at the Aviva Stadium.
