Vikki Wall makes sevens debut as Ireland progress Down Under

Ireland's Lucy Mulhall and Eve Higgins at the 

Meath All-Ireland winner turned rugby player Vikki Wall made her competitive Ireland debut at the HSBC World Rugby Sevens in Perth, Australia today as the women's side progressed from their group stages.

Wall, now in her third sport after a stint in the AFLW, played in the 26-7 win over Japan, Béibhinn Parsons scoring a hat-trick of tries.

Ireland also defeated Fiji 14-12 today to progress in second place in their pool, securing a semi-final meeting with Great Britain. Eve Higgins and Amee Leigh Murphy Crowe scored the tries in that one.

The men's side are also in the semi-finals of their event in Perth, where they will face Argentina. Ireland defeated Australia 19-10 today, with tries from Jordan Conroy and Terry Kennedy.
