No Ruddock for the rest of the season for Leinster

There’s bad news on the injury front for Leinster this afternoon.

The province confirmed today that Rhys Ruddock will be side lined for the remainder of the season.

He’s been failing to recover from a broken arm he suffered in his side’s European Champions Cup win over Harlequins back in December.

Leinster forwards coach Leo Cullen confirmed the news when he spoke to the media in UCD today ahead of next weekend’s European Champions Cup quarter final against Bath at the Aviva Stadium.

“Rhys has been having a bit of an issue with his arm, so he’s being managed unfortunately.”

“It’s a broken arm and it’s not been healing properly and he’s struggling with that so he’s out of the mix for the season.”

“He’s getting re-done and he’s going to need a plate put in there.”

Meanwhile, Leinster remain confident that scrum-half Eoin Reddan will be available for next weeks huge game.

He suffered a bang to the head in the Pro 12 draw with Glasgow.

He will follow back to play protocols this week in training but the province insist that he’s been showing no symptoms after the game at the RDS.
