Gardaí appeal after Wicklow burglary and assault

Gardai in Wicklow are appealing for witnesses to an aggravated burglary in Donard last night.

At around 7pm a man in his 50s was assaulted as he entered his home at Studfiels South.

He was put in a room and the house ransacked.

He managed to raise the alarm and was taken to Naas Hospital where he is said to be in a stable condition.
