Brutal spear tackle from schoolboy rugby

A red card was the only possible punishment after this callous spear tackle in a schoolboy rugby game.

The game between Australia and New Zealand Barbarians was only in its second minute when Australian fly-half Jordan Jackson-Hope committed this sickening foul on the opposing side’s captain Liam Howley.

Howley was very lucky to walk away without serious injury after Jackson-Hope picked him up and then threw him to the ground.

The Australian player looked shocked when the referee produced a red card as punishment, but should count his lucky stars he didn’t cause long-term damage to his opponent.
