Sweetnam opts for Munster over Cork hurlers

Munster Rugby today confirmed that Cork senior hurler Darren Sweetnam has accepted an Academy contract with the province.

The 19-year-old, who played for Jimmy Barry-Murphy’s Cork hurling side this summer, has already represented Munster at Under 18 Schools and Under 19s level as well as playing for the Munster Under 20s this season.
