Old Belvedere players show more resilience than their bus
Garryowen 22 Old Belvedere 23
Old Belvedere's bus may have broken down and delayed the kick-off of their game against Garryowen by an hour, but the Dubliners were left celebrating their first win of the campaign afterwards.
The usually reliable Declan Cusack had an off-day with his place-kicking as Garryowen, 10-7 behind at the break, were left ruing missed chances.
Daniel Riordan and Richie Leyden notched tries for 'Belvo, both of which Josh Glynn converted and he also kicked three penalties in a gutsy 23-22 victory.
Garryowen had a brace of tries by Corey Hircock and others by Shane Buckley and Paul Neville.
Cusack converted one of the four as the Light Blues had to be content with a losing bonus point.
Scorers:
Garryowen: Tries: Corey Hircock 2, Shane Buckley, Paul Neville; Con: Declan Cusack
Old Belvedere: Tries: Daniel Riordan, Richie Leyden; Cons: Josh Glynn 2; Pens: Josh Glynn 3
