Chris Ashton was today ruled out of England’s World Cup warm-up international against Wales with an ankle injury.
The Northampton wing rolled his ankle in training on Thursday and has been replaced in the starting line-up by Matt Banahan, with Delon Armitage promoted to the bench, the RFU said.
