New Ospreys deal for Fussell
Ospreys winger Richard Fussell has signed a contract extension that will keep him with the Magners League champions until the summer of 2014.
The 26-year-old joined the Swansea-based region in the summer from Newport Gwent Dragons on a two-year deal but his form has been such that he has been rewarded with a long-term deal.
Fussell, who scored his seventh try of the season in Monday’s 60-17 south Wales derby hammering of the Scarlets, was delighted to have committed himself to the Liberty Stadium outfit.
“I’m over the moon,” he told the Ospreys website.
Head coach Sean Holley added: “The new contract is a reward for Richard’s performances and attitude since he joined us, which have been exemplary.
“He’s had a lot of rugby under his belt in his time, but he suits our style of play and has adapted to it really quickly. We’re delighted with him.”
