Ulster Coach Brian McLaughlin has today named an extended squad ahead of Saturday's Heineken Cup clash against Bath at Ravenhill (kick-off: 1.30pm).
Captain Johann Muller returns to the squad having recovered from a neck injury he sustained against Cardiff Blues a fortnight ago.
Rory Best, who fractured his jaw playing for Ireland against the All Blacks, is still out while Darren Cave is suffering with a hamstring injury with Ian Whitten or Nevin Spence set to deputise at outside centre.
Ulster currently lie in third place in pool three on five points behind Bath on six while Biarritz lead the pack on nine points. The next two weeks will go a long way to deciding whether McLaughlin’s men will make it to the last eight of the competition.
Efforts are continuing to ensure the Ravenhill surface is playable this Saturday. Staff and supporters cleared snow from the pitch again this morning ahead of the arrival of a pitch defrosting/heating system this Wednesday.
The Ulster team and replacements will be named on Friday.
