Cave and Smith missing for Ulster

Ulster coach Brian McLaughlin has named an enlarged squad for Friday's Magners League meeting with Edinburgh at Murrayfield (kick-off 7.05pm).

Ulster coach Brian McLaughlin has named an enlarged squad for Friday's Magners League meeting with Edinburgh at Murrayfield (kick-off 7.05pm).

Neither fullback Jamie Smith (shoulder girdle/rib) nor centre Darren Cave (hamstring), who are still recovering from injuries sustained against Aironi two weeks ago have been included, while Simon Danielli, who was injured (shoulder) during last Sunday's match against Biarritz at the Parc des Sports Aguliera is also absent.

Young backs Tommy Seymour and Jonny Shiels come into the extended squad as does Mark McCrea who has impressed for the Ulster Ravens in recent weeks.

The Ulster starting XV and replacements will be named on Thursday.
