Toulon centre Felipe Contepomi has returned to the Argentina squad for the Pumas’ Tests against Scotland and France.
Contepomi missed the tour of Europe at the end of 2009 as he to struggled to get over the knee injury he suffered playing for Leinster in their Heineken Cup semi-final victory against Munster just over a year ago.
There are 22 French-based players in coach Santiago Phelan’s 31-man squad, with a six-strong English contingent made up of Leicester’s Marcos Ayerza and Lucas Amorosino, Juan Gomez of Leeds, Mariano Sambucetti from Bristol, London Irish’s Alfredo Lalanne and Gonzalo Tiesi, who is leaving Harlequins.
Star fly-half Juan Martin Hernandez remains on the sidelines as he continues to recover from back surgery.
Argentina host Scotland in Tucuman on June 12 before a second Test in Mar Del Plata a week later. They then face Les Blues in Buenos Aires on June 26.
