England team named for U20 clash with Ireland
Full back Jack Wallace, prop Lee Imiolek and No.8 Alex Gray all come into the England starting line-up as their three changes for the RBS Under 20 6 Nations game against Ireland at Kingsholm on Fridey.
Coach Mark Mapletoft has pointed at Ireland’s 19-18 Six Nations win in Athlone as a bone of contention that he is still picking at.
"Some of our players will still be hurting after last year but there’s not a great carry over and this is about this game, not the last one. If we perform to the targets we set we’ll be very competitive.
"Ireland look a good side and were very convincing winners against Italy. They've got a strong ball-carrying back row, strong centres, a good full back and will threaten all over the pitch".
ENGLAND U20 (v Ireland U20): J Wallace; W Hurrell, J Joseph, T Casson, J May; F Burns, S Harrison; L Imiolek, J George, S Knight, D Wright, C Matthews, J Wray, J Rowan (capt), A Gray.
