Weather hits Dragons' Heineken Cup game

Tonight’s Heineken Cup clash between Newport Gwent Dragons and Biarritz has been postponed.

A partially frozen pitch at Rodney Parade left referee Alain Rolland with little alternative but to call off the Pool Two fixture around three hours before the scheduled kick-off.

The game will now take place tomorrow afternoon at Parc-y-Scarlets in Llanelli.

Should Biarritz win the 1.35pm kick-off they will be within sight of reaching the quarter-finals.

Biarritz beat the Dragons 49-13 in France last Sunday, a result which meant they opened up a nine-point advantage at the top of their group.
