Shaun Edwards admitted the sinbinning of Stephen Ferris had been the turning point after the British and Lions scraped home to a 26-24 win over the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

The Lions cruised into a 20-0 first-half lead but flanker Ferris was sinbinned for 10 minutes for failing to roll away at the tackle and Cheetahs cashed in with tries from Danwel Demas and Wian du Preez while the tourists were down to 14 men.
