Matthews extends Connacht contract

Ireland A centre Keith Matthews has signed a three-year contract extension at Connacht.

The versatile 26-year old back has played 63 matches for the province since moving there to play in 2004.

“I have really enjoyed my time with Connacht and I am looking to the seasons ahead as we build on the progress we have made,” he said.

The former U-19 and U-21 international has become an integral part of the Connacht squad and his signature comes quickly after a number of others, like Gavin Duffy and Johnny O'Connor, have committed to the proivince.
